From the Midwest I grew up playing sports and enjoying the outdoors. My biggest passion was always sailing. Taking a break from the cold, I attended University of Miami where I studied Marine Biology. While in school I took modelling classes, was a movie extra and took some drama courses. However yacht racing prevailed and in 1995 I raced on Bill Koch's historic all women's America's Cup team. After graduation 1996 I became a full time professional yacht racer. I have since raced in 2 Around the World Races- sailing in amongst the most dangerous parts of the ocean; the 2000 America's Cup in New Zealand and numerous other international grand prix events. I have seen the world while pursuing my dream. I have much experience with endorsments, speaking engagements, photo shoots, and working with the media. I am a published author in the New York Times and multiply magazines.
